Adjusting your belt - it's that easy!
You ordered a belt from us and it is too big?
No problem! Here's how to adjust your belt super easily and super quickly!
And that's how it works!
What you need:
- screwdriver
- Scissors or knife
- The Simaru fitting kit (alternatively, you can also use a hole punch or a cordless drill)
Step-by-step instructions
Step 1:
The first step is to determine how many centimeters your belt is too big. To do this, compare your new belt to a previously worn belt or simply put the belt around your waist to determine the correct length.
Step 2:
In the second step, loosen the screw near the belt buckle to separate the buckle from the strap. It's best to use a flathead screwdriver for this.
Step 3:
You can then simply remove the buckle.
Step 4:
Once the buckle is removed, you can shorten the strap to the desired length using scissors or a knife.
Step 5:
You can then punch a new hole to reattach the buckle to the strap. You can use the hole punch from the Simaru fitting kit. Alternatively, you can use hole punch pliers or a cordless drill.
Attention! Make sure the new belt hole is in the correct position. Compare to the belt end cut off in step 4.
Step 6:
In the final step, you can refasten the belt buckle. Your belt is now the desired length. If your belt is still too long, you can repeat the steps.
