Why is the right chain length so important?

The length of your necklace not only influences your look, but also how comfortable it is to wear. You want onlookers to be able to admire your necklace to its fullest, while you feel completely at ease wearing your favorite piece. No matter the occasion or outfit, with the right length, your necklace will always fit perfectly!

Measure your neck circumference correctly

  • Take a flexible tape measure (alternatively: string + ruler)

  • Place it loosely around your neck – preferably where the chain should sit

  • Note the circumference in centimeters

💡 Tip: For tight-fitting chains (e.g. chokers) add about 2 cm , for more freedom of movement add accordingly.

How should the chain sit?

Consider the style of your new necklace:

Test with a string or existing chain

  • Cut a cord to your desired length (neck circumference + X = total length)

  • Put it around your neck and check: Do you like where it sits?

  • Alternatively: Measure one of your necklaces that you like

Consider your height & neck shape

< 1.65 m Shorter chains
1.65 – 1.80 m Medium to long lengths
> 1.80 m Long chains look particularly good

💡 The shape of the neck also plays a role: a longer neck looks more elegant with a choker, while if you have a short neck, choose medium lengths.
