First of all: Yes, our products are truly made of real cork! Cork fabric or cork leather, as used in fashion accessories, is incredibly robust and stable compared to pressed cork shavings or wine corks, yet lightweight and soft. Cork accessories like wallets or bags look as good as new even after months of use and can be used for years.
Good news for you: Unlike leather products, you don't need to regularly grease or care for your cork accessory with other products! To keep your cork product soft and supple for as long as possible, simply wipe the cork from time to time with a damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent like soap.
Answer: Extremely sustainable! Cork is a natural, vegan, and, above all, renewable resource obtained from the bark of the cork oak tree. During harvesting, the trees are not felled and can be harvested again approximately every 10 years, as the bark grows back.
